I am an empathic and supportive therapist. I work using an integrative approach that combines many different styles and techniques based on the client's current needs. I form a unique and individualized approach with the belief that the therapist/client relationship is the most important element in promoting growth and change. A safe and non-judgmental environment is essential for change to occur.
I specialize in play therapy, art and Sandplay therapy with children and teens ages 0 – 18. Using art and play therapy techniques in session helps children who are non-verbal or less talkative feel more comfortable in the therapy setting. I also incorporate Psychodynamic, Attachment and Client-Centered approaches. We can discuss my approach in more depth during our initial session. Questions are always welcome.
I have worked in the Lafayette, Walnut Creek and Piedmont Unified School Districts. I specialize in providing individual therapy services and running social skills group for both the General Education and Special Education population.
In addition to my work with children, parents and families I welcome clients of all ages into my practice.
